CCWI shares the information collected with government regulatory agencies and the public, and engages in education and community outreach activities.

Mermaids Work for Clean Water

Vira Fauss, The California Mermaid ®, a long-time benefactor and advocate of CCWI, monitors Fife Creek and heads up an extensive restoration effort in the riparian area along Fife Creek. In her role as a mermaid, she promotes the protection of all our natural waters inland to the coast.
